Hello! My name is Tien Truong and I'm currently a 3rd year studying Economics and Statistics. Some things that bring me joy are taking my dogs to the beach, hiking, traveling and listening to early 2000s music. I'm from Eastside San Jose, which is a part of the city where you'll find ethnic enclaves of Mexican and Vietnamese cultures in such close proximity to each other. I'm prideful of the way immigrants from these two countries have been able to bring their cultures to the city, and create a place so rich in traditions and identity. As a first-generation student, I want to cultivate a space where we can bring our own unique identities and experiences to share!
