I’m a fourth year Chicana from East Los Angeles, CA majoring in Political Science and Chicano/a Studies. My commitment to community service started as I witnessed and felt the struggles my family faced because of the systemic barriers placed on immigrants by this country. This sparked my determination to educate myself and use my privileges' to create positive changes in my communities. During my time at the Center, I hope to create a welcoming safe space at UC Davis for mixed-status students and students coming from mixed-status families.
