Joyce is a proud UC Davis Alumni, Class of 2020, and was a first-generation student obtaining a BA in Communication, Minors in Spanish and Professional Writing. Originally from Queretaro, Mexico, she believes education can truly transform someone’s life and wants to help guide, motivate, and advocate for the students in the undocumented community to have every opportunity possible to pursue their academic and professional goals. Most recently she has completed her Master's in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies - Higher Education at Sacramento State, where she researched The Latina Leader Experience in Student Affairs.
Having previously held roles previously as an immigration attorney assistant and several on campus jobs when she was a student, Joyce brings her passion and dedication to the center and looks forward to learning from everyone.
What brings you joy? Traveling to new cities, visiting new restaurants, reading, and being able to laugh with others.
