Joyce is a proud UC Davis Alumni, Class of 2020, and was a first-generation student obtaining a BA in Communication, Minors in Spanish and Professional Writing. Originally from Queretaro, Mexico, she believes education can truly transform someone’s life and wants to help guide, motivate, and fight for the students in the undocumented community to have every opportunity possible to pursue their academic and professional goals.

Having previously held roles previously as an immigration attorney assistant and several on campus jobs when she was a student, Joyce is excited to bring her passion and dedication to the center and looks forward to learning from everyone.

What centers you? Being able to take a pause and read one of the many romcoms in my TBR list and cooking for my parents.

What brings you joy? Traveling to new cities, visiting new restaurants, and being able to laugh with others.
