The UndocuAdvocate Program for Educators (UPE)
The UndocuAdvocate Program for Educators (UPE) is an opportunity for educators to engage in shared knowledge and opportunities regarding serving and advocating alongside the undocumented and immigrant student community at UC Davis.
Through discussions on laws, policies, mental health, support, and access, educators will gain a better understanding of the undergraduate and graduate undocumented and immigrant student experience. This interactive course is intended to be a first step and investment in analyzing the current resources within your unit and creating a more accessible and equitable experience for undocumented and immigrant students at UC Davis.

UPE 2.0 - Creating Inclusive Fellowships for All Students on Campus
The UndocuAdvocate Program for Educators 2.0 (UPE 2.0) initiative, which focuses on ensuring equitable access to on-campus employment opportunities for all students—regardless of their immigration status. This 2.0 training program is designed to help educators, staff, and administrators understand how to create inclusive fellowship programs that welcome both authorized and unauthorized students.
The primary goal of the training is to provide the tools and resources needed to create fellowship opportunities that are accessible to ALL students, regardless of their immigration status. This training is rooted in the belief that every student, regardless of their legal authorization to work in the U.S., deserves an opportunity to participate in fellowships that can enhance their educational and professional growth.
It is not required that you have attended UPE 1.0. If you are interested in learning about how to create opportunities for undocumented students, we encourage you to attend.
