In 2026, the Undocumented Student Resource Center (USRC) completed a comprehensive strategic planning process that reaffirmed our commitment to evolving, strengthening our impact, and advancing a shared vision for the future. We hope that the revised statement allows students to release the pressure of self-advocacy and leadership as strategies for survival in higher education by replacing it with a strong and dedicated resource network to provide exactly what is needed in their developmental path to successfully complete their students at UC Davis.
Our Mission Statement
The Undocumented Student Resource Center at UC Davis empowers undocumented students, their academic mentors, and campus partners to be informed and active participants in our communities by developing and mobilizing our collective understanding of changing policies affecting undocumented and immigrant’s lived experiences on our campus.
We empower students to recognize and promote their individual achievements regardless of immigration status and inspire future generation of scholars pursue a higher education through outreach opportunities, before, during, and after their time at UC Davis. We commit to a holistic approach to the recruitment and retention of talented students from undocumented and immigrant backgrounds by providing financial opportunities, mental health support, immigration legal counsel, and career advice alongside our campus partners at UC Davis and the Northern California region

Built on the foundation of educational equity and opportunity, the Undocumented Student Resource Center at UC Davis strives to empower undocumented students, their families and members of the community in being informed leaders and active participants in our communities. The Center strives to educate and build awareness of changing policies affecting California's undocumented population. We acknowledge that immigration status is one aspect of an individual’s identity that does not solely define a person or their capacity. We promote a holistic approach to recruitment and retention of students in higher education, taking into account a student’s mental, emotional, and financial well-being.
